Living Well on Lake Washington
Some homes are worth preserving.
This Laurelhurst waterfront residence underwent a comprehensive transformation that retained the property's exceptional setting while reimagining nearly every aspect of the home. A significant addition, new exterior envelope, updated systems, and a complete interior renovation created a residence designed for the way the family lives today while honoring the character that made the property worth keeping.
Expansive walls of glass strengthen the connection to Lake Washington, allowing the surrounding landscape to become part of everyday life. Carefully proportioned living spaces, restrained detailing, and natural materials create interiors that feel calm, bright, and enduring rather than tied to a particular trend.
Rather than replacing the home, the project demonstrates what thoughtful renovation can accomplish when architecture, craftsmanship, and construction are considered together from the beginning.
The result is a waterfront residence that feels entirely new while remaining deeply connected to its setting and history.
