Gerry Homes builds thoughtfully designed custom homes for clients who value exceptional design, clear communication, and enduring craftsmanship.
We partner with homeowners, architects, and interior designers throughout Seattle and the Eastside to bring carefully considered homes to life. Our work is best suited for clients who have invested in strong design, value organized execution, and want a builder who can manage the complexity of construction with discipline, judgment, and care.
Built for People Who Live Well
A custom home is more than a collection of rooms, finishes, and details. It is the setting for daily life, family gatherings, quiet routines, and the way people move through the world.
Our role is to build that vision with care.
Every project begins with a design shaped by the homeowner, architect, and interior designer. We do not look for reasons to simplify ambitious ideas or replace them with our own. We work to understand what the design is trying to achieve, what it will require to build successfully, and how each decision affects the finished home.
The result is a construction process rooted in collaboration, craftsmanship, and clear communication.

The Right Fit
The strongest projects begin with shared expectations.
Gerry Homes is best suited for clients who value design, understand the importance of planning, and want an experienced construction partner to help manage the many decisions required to build well.
Our preferred custom home projects typically begin when architectural plans are complete, close to permit submission, or already permitted. At that stage, we can focus our expertise where it creates the greatest value: construction execution, budget alignment, procurement planning, trade coordination, and bringing the design to life with care.
For clients earlier in the design process, we provide preconstruction consulting on a limited basis when the project, team, and timing are the right fit.
We are not the right builder for every project. We are a strong fit for clients who want a collaborative relationship, realistic conversations about budget and schedule, and a team that will take responsibility for moving the project forward.
We Build the Vision — Not Our Version of It
The best custom homes are built through trust.
We work closely with homeowners, architects, interior designers, consultants, and trade partners to execute the design intent with precision. Our job is to understand the vision, identify what is required to build it successfully, and communicate honestly about the implications of each decision.
Sometimes the right answer is to invest more. Sometimes it is to simplify. Good construction judgment comes from understanding the whole picture rather than optimizing for a single variable.
That judgment matters at every stage of the work.
Preparation Matters
Careful preparation creates the foundation for a successful build.
Before construction begins, we review the plans in detail, study the scope, identify foreseeable construction challenges, coordinate with the design team, begin procurement planning, and assemble the trade partners needed to execute the work well.
Thoughtful preparation reduces uncertainty. It does not eliminate it.
Custom construction involves existing site conditions, permitting requirements, structural questions, design decisions, procurement timing, and field conditions that cannot always be fully understood until work is underway. When new information becomes available, we communicate clearly, explain the options, and help our clients make informed decisions with confidence.
Construction Managed with Discipline
Once construction begins, Gerry Homes takes responsibility for moving the project forward.
Our team coordinates subcontractors, manages scheduling, oversees quality, tracks documentation, and works closely with the architect and interior designer throughout the build.
A custom home depends on hundreds of people, materials, and decisions moving together. Maintaining thoughtful momentum matters. Every interruption affects sequencing, trade coordination, procurement, and ultimately the finished home.
Our objective is never speed for its own sake. It is steady progress supported by sound judgment, careful documentation, and clear communication.
Clear Communication
Successful projects depend on informed clients and organized communication.
Throughout construction, we provide visibility into the information that matters: budgets, schedules, selections, documentation, and decisions that affect the path forward. We believe clients make better decisions when they understand the tradeoffs clearly.
When unforeseen conditions or design decisions require discussion, we communicate openly, provide our recommendations honestly, and help our clients understand the implications for budget, schedule, craftsmanship, and long-term performance.
Our clients hire us so they do not have to manage the construction process themselves. We take that responsibility seriously.
Completion and Warranty
As construction nears completion, our attention shifts from building to refining.
We complete detailed punch list work, coordinate final inspections, verify major systems are operating as intended, and prepare the home for occupancy.
Completion is not the end of the relationship. Gerry Homes provides a one-year warranty and remains available to address warranty items as the home settles into everyday life.
Standing behind our work is part of the responsibility we accept when we agree to build your home.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should we contact Gerry Homes?
The best time to contact us is when your architectural plans are complete, close to permit submission, or already permitted. This allows us to review the scope, understand the design intent, and determine whether the project is a strong fit.
For select projects, we may also provide preconstruction consulting earlier in the design process.
Do you work with our architect and interior designer?
Yes. Many of our strongest projects are built in collaboration with outside architects and interior designers. Our role is to understand the design intent, coordinate with the project team, and execute the work with craftsmanship and precision.
Do you provide preconstruction services?
Yes, on a limited basis for the right projects. Preconstruction may include plan review, budget alignment, procurement planning, construction feasibility review, and early coordination with the design team.
Can you bid our plans?
We can review completed or near-complete plans and discuss next steps. Accurate pricing depends on the completeness of the drawings, specifications, selections, engineering, site information, and scope. When important information is missing, we will identify those gaps and recommend the right path forward rather than offering a number that creates false certainty.
